More than a Building
When we think of NexusPark and its future, it’s easy to see it isn’t just a building. NexusPark will be a go-to community destination for the convergence of healthcare, recreation and wellness, taking a building in the center of the City of Columbus that has served its original purpose and transforming it into something truly special. NexusPark is a place where individuals, families, and visitors come together in a space that enhances the quality of life for the community as well as an interstate destination for recreation and sports tourism.
Creating a brand and identity for this next-generation facility was a collaborative effort that was purposeful and driven. We sought input from partner and community stakeholders to ensure the naming and logo design was reflective of the project itself. Some of the overall themes that resulted from a series of design input sessions were: Community, Warmth, Dynamic/ Energy, Nature, Something for Everyone, Engaging, Fun, and Practical.
The team, consisting of representatives from the City of Columbus, Columbus Parks & Recreation Department, and Columbus Regional Health, worked with branding consultant, Cronin, to bring the logo and brand system to life. The result is a brand identity that is relevant and simple, yet memorable, versatile, and timeless. This is a brand that is full of energy. Over time, you’ll see the NexusPark brand come to life in different ways that will offer insight and surprises in big ways and small.
